Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Exchange’s main index grew in Tuesday’s early trading by 2.27% or 230.78 points to the level of 10,383.55 points.
The rise was due to the increase in most of blue chips as QNB, Ezdan and Industries Qatar leapt by 2.03%, 2.22% and 4.14% respectively. The three stocks forms about 40% of the index.
By 10:05 AM Doha time, trading volume reached 2.28 million shares exchanged at QAR 90.49 million through 1,210 transactions.
The bourse’s sectors grew collectively; led by the telecom sector with a growth of 3.28% as Vodafone Qatar topped gainers by adding 4.29%.
The insurance sector advanced 2.9%, the industrial sector rose 2.08% and the banking sector increased 1.95%.
